Probably you didn't know that most all of the current wave of hundreds of newly trained home inspectors arrived in the business through recently created 3 week home inspection schools  set up by salesmen! These same schools do not and can not teach Codes, but instead instruct their students how to avoid them.  Even more importantly, they can't teach students in the classroom in 3 weeks what experience has taught us in over 35 years of being in the Construction Industry and in Code Enforcement.  It just can't be done.

Founded by MICHAEL P. KRATKY: a builder, carpenter, cabinet maker, woodworker, NYS Code Officer, Muncipial Electrical Inspector(active), Building Trades Instructor, Licensed Master Electricain, past President of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors, NYS Building Officials Conference and a Certified Environmental Inspector.

Michael Kratky is also FHA/VA Certified and also does Wood Destroying Insect and Organism Inspections, a former Nuclear Quality Control Inspector for the Department of Defense, is a former Albany/Colonie BOCES Building Trades Instructor, an Alumni of Fulton Montgomery Community College and Clarkson School of Engineering, and is a 35 year Member of IBEW Local #236. 

Mike also worked on the construction of all of the facilities for the 1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympics as Foreman and Superintendant.
